For Your Youth Workers

Global Day of Prayer is June 4 - Will Youth be There?

On June 4 - Pentecost Sunday - millions of people will gather in stadiums around the world for prayer and worship to the Lord. In 2005, 52 nations celebrated this event that began just a few years ago in South Africa.

Is there an observance in your area planned for this year? You can find out at the Global Day of Prayer website: www.GlobalDayofPrayer.com. The Network encourages youth workers in each community to "pull a chair up to the table" of the local planning teams, making sure that youth and youth-related concerns find a place on the program. In our experience, Local Networks that assign one or more people to help plan the events have a huge voice in the program.

By the way, the National Day of Prayer is Thursday, May 4 (www.nationaldayofprayer.org). Is this another opportunity to recruit prayer for teenagers where you live?
